Ride Details
A Hopper like no other. This is your chance to ride little known dirt roads in remote Trinity County.
Route
Smack in the middle of nowhere, yet everywhere is Hayfork Ca. For the last 20 years OG Gianni member gravel pioneer Michael Cherney has been exploring and creating epic loops in the Trinity National Forest. Hayfork is a small town situated west of Red Bluff, east of Fortuna, south of Weaverville and north of Hwy 36 and the Yolla Bolly Wilderness. And, it is home to hundreds of miles epic gravel roads. If you’ve read this far, you trust me. And if you trust me…well… you don’t want to miss this inaugural Hayfork Hopper Gravel Weekend!
Day 1: 65 mi. 7380 ft.
Day 2: 47 mi. 5600 ft.
Rest Stops/Feed Zones
Both days we will have two feed zone/rest stops. Since this is NOT a race weekend you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy ice cold Guayaki, Osmo hydration, and lots of sweet and savory treats. Dare we bring some cerveza fría?
Our feed zones will be hosted by local Hayfork clubs so you can count on a good time!
Schedule:
Rides both days will start at 9:30 am. This will give us plenty of time to enjoy a home cooked breakfast and plenty of coffee. Rides will take most of the day with two bountiful rest stops both days and plenty of time to take in the best of Shasta Trinity Forest gravel roads, and hopefully a swimming hole or two. Dinner, cold beer, a campfire and live music will top off the evenings.
We’ll post a more detailed schedule as we get closer.
